RETURN TO ROOTS
Before the MOSQUITO carved its identity as a unique platform, it was originally released as an AK conversion kit with the 2020 Closed Alpha model. Six years later, the MK1 7.62 DLC brings the platform full circle, returning to its original roots as a true AK conversion kit with airsoft AK magazine compatibility, full transfer of AK AEG internal components, and a new split handguard design for easy battery access.
ROCK 'N' LOAD
The new 7.62 design introduces a new reload style for the MOSQUITO platform. Instead of the traditional push button, an AK-style magazine release lever replaces it, enabling true ambidextrous operation and iconic TACTICOOL AK mag flicks.
SPLIT HANDGUARD DESIGN
The original MK1 release had less-than-ideal front battery access due to limited space. The new 7.62 handguard solves that with a larger capacity split design that allows for convenient and toolless battery access. The enclosed design of the lower half eliminates through-holes, helping shield the battery from the elements during play, while new low profile rail covers provide additional grip without adding unnecessary bulk.
THE CROWN JEWEL
The MK1 7.62 introduces a new muzzle device that, in addition to being a suppressor adaptor, locks the split handguard in place. Featuring a splined profile for improved grip, allowing it to be easily twisted off for toolless battery access, even while in game.
BAFFLE-Q SKEWERS
To accommodate varying inner barrel lengths in AK AEGs, typically 300-455mm, the MK1 7.62 features a new modular suppressor that can cover any extra length by stacking additional baffles together. As with the other new accessories, the suppressor is fully cross compatible with existing MOSQUITO MK1 designs.
BANANAS FOR SCALE
With additional support from HurtMySnake on Discord, the MK1 7.62 has been made to work with an extensive range of AK style AEG magazines with rock solid fitment, including CYMA, E&L, LCT, PTS, and more.
RECEIVER OF THESEUS
Just like the MK1 5.56 DLC, the main 7.62 receiver reuses the complete hardware set from the original MK1, requiring no new components for AK magazine compatibility. It is simply a case of print, replace, and play.
